Canada's Great Lakes Aquarium

Let the excitement begin!

We are going to establish a world class aquarium exhibit highlighting the Great Lakes of North America in the Golden Horseshoe area of Ontario called Canada's Great Lakes Aquarium. We have developed an inovative approach to aquarium construction that will finally allow a world class aquarium for this region to become a reality.

Here are some points that may help outline what it is we want to do. Not just why but when, where and how.

The Great Lakes, the largest freshwater system in the world, is not the subject of display, interpretation, entertainment or wonder by a world-class exhibit in any remarkable size or design. Unbelievably the Golden Horseshoe is the 5th largest market in North America – the largest without an aquarium. There are approximately 30 aquariums in the U.S. recently completed or in planning stages.

This is something we believe in and you will too, when you consider the additional bonus of an average of $70 million in annual economic benefits accrue to the adjacent region. Would you like to know who we are? See Contact Us...

Look through the site and consider joining our forum to discuss this exciting new project, Canada's Great Lakes Aquarium.

The combination of entertainment and education makes Canada’s Great Lakes Aquarium a perfect waterfront attraction. Don't miss the great stuff at the "Ships Stores" gift shop. Gifts that highlight the Great Lakes, the natural world, environmental education, Great Lakes shipping and other fun things can all be found here. See the planned exhibits ...

Hungry? Then stop by the "Galley" (it really is the galley!) for some Great Lakes fare. For an open air view of the lake and shoreline head out to "The Deck by the Dock" where refreshments and good food are also available in season. More open air viewing can be had at "The Poop". We are planning something special for this area! For dinner we will open up " The Wheelhouse" where fine dining is available in the wheelhouse and staterooms at the bow.

More attractions are planned for the dockside area. Stay tuned!

CGLA intends to seek CAZA accreditation.
